Step-by-Step Breakdown:
Step 1: Connect Power Safely
→ Open the access panel, feed conduit through the knockout, and connect high voltage wiring to the VFD’s power terminal box. Do NOT share power with the RTU unless local code allows.
Step 2: Integrate with Economizer or BMS
→ Use yellow and brown wires from the VFD to connect to the economizer control.
→ If integrating, remove jumper between DI1 and 24V and replace with control relay wires.
→ Skip jumper removal if no economizer is present.
Step 3: Program the VFD
→ Navigate the interface with the arrow keys and Enter.
→ To adjust pressure setpoint, use up/down keys in operating mode (e.g., 50 = 0.05 in. WC).
→ Edit parameters in Group 0 by entering the password prompt.
→ Use P701.05 to reset to OEM defaults — NOT P700.01, which resets to Lens factory settings.
Proper VFD setup ensures maximum performance, compatibility, and energy savings. Whether you’re working with power exhaust systems, economizers, or full BMS integration, this MicroMetl guide will get you up and running fast.
