INS Imphal Speciality: भारतीय नौसेना अपने लेटेस्ट स्टील्थ गाइडेड-मिसाइल डिस्ट्रॉयर 'इम्फाल' को बेड़े में शामिल कर लिया है. रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह की मौजूदगी में आज मंगलवार (26 दिसंबर) को इसे नौसेना में शामिल किया गया. रक्षा मंत्रालय ने कहा कि इम्फाल पहला वॉरशिप है, जिसका नाम उत्तर पूर्व के एक शहर के नाम पर रखा गया है. 20 अक्टूबर 2023 को इसे भारतीय नौसेना को सौंप दिया गया था. मंत्रालय के एक अधिकारी ने कहा इम्‍फाल वॉरशिप ने नवंबर 2023 में लांग-रेंज सुपरसोनिक ब्रह्मोस मिसाइल का सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण किया, जो बेड़े में शामिल किए जाने (कमीशनिंग) से पहले किसी भी स्वदेशी वॉरशिप के लिए पहली ट्रायल था.
