武功山位於江西省萍鄉市、宜春市與吉安市交界，主峰金頂海拔1928米。江西武功山是中國徒步界的聖地之一，擁有壯麗的高山草甸、雲海、星空和極具挑性的山脊線。它不僅是自然愛好者的天堂，也孕育了濃厚的徒步文化。

武功山被譽為「此生必徒」，不只是因為它壯麗的自然景觀，更因為它在徒步文化中象徵著一次身心挑戰與靈魂洗禮。這個稱號背後有幾個深層原因：
• 武功山擁有十萬畝高山草甸、壯闊雲海、日出日落、星空銀河，四季皆宜，景色如詩如畫。有人形容：「眼睛在天堂，身體在地獄」，正是對其美與挑戰的最佳寫照。
• 經典的反穿路線（由龍山村至金頂）包含絕望坡、好漢坡等地形，讓人既痛苦又成就感滿滿。
• 武功山吸引大量年輕人組隊挑戰，形成熱鬧又互助的徒步氛圍。在山頂看日出、在草甸露營、在祈福牆許願，這些儀式感讓徒步不只是運動，更是一場人生體驗。
• 對許多人而言，徒步武功山是一種「與自己對話」的過程。在汗水與喘息中釋放壓力、尋找平靜，甚至重新定義人生方向。

今次我們走反穿路線，從龍山村出發，經**發雲界 → 好漢坡 → 絕望坡 → 金頂 → 景區門口，可選(但我們沒有)索道下山．總里程約25公里，總攀升約2,200米，用2天1夜走完，經歷了晴，雨，風，雲，霧，日落日出，也為震撼的美景著迷。整體來說，這行程很值得！

Wugong Mountain is located at the junction of Pingxiang, Yichun, and Ji'an in Jiangxi Province. Its main peak, Jinding, stands at 1,928 meters above sea level. Wugong Mountain is considered one of the sacred destinations for hikers in China, renowned for its magnificent alpine meadows, sea of clouds, starry skies, and challenging ridgeline trails. It is not only a paradise for nature lovers but also a cradle of rich hiking culture.

Wugong Mountain is hailed as a “must-hike-in-this-lifetime” destination, not only for its breathtaking natural scenery, but also for its symbolic significance in hiking culture as a physical and spiritual challenge. Several deeper reasons lie behind this title:,
• Wugong Mountain boasts over 100,000 mu of alpine meadows, vast seas of clouds, brilliant sunrises and sunsets, and dazzling starry skies. It’s stunning year-round, like a landscape painting come to life. Some describe it as “your eyes in heaven, your body in hell”—the perfect summary of its beauty and challenge.
• The classic reverse-route hike (from Longshan Village to Jinding Peak) includes dramatic features like Despair Slope and Hero Slope, painful yet incredibly rewarding.
• Wugong Mountain attracts groups of young adventurers, forming a vibrant, supportive hiking culture. Watching the sunrise atop the peak, camping in vast meadows, making wishes at the Blessing Wall, these rituals make hiking more than a sport; it becomes a life experience.
• For many, hiking Wugong Mountain is a journey of self-reflection. In every drop of sweat and breathless climb lies a release of pressure, a search for peace, and perhaps a rediscovery of one’s direction in life.

This time, we took the reverse route, starting from Longshan Village and passing through Fayunjie → Hero Slope → Despair Slope → Jinding Peak → the scenic area entrance, where you can optionally take the cable car down (we did not). The total distance was about 25 kilometers, with an elevation gain of roughly 2,200 meters. We completed the hike in two days and one night, experiencing sunshine, rain, wind, clouds, fog, and both sunset and sunrise, completely mesmerized by the breathtaking scenery. Overall, it was truly a worthwhile journey!
