This week I did something unexpected… I bought a 1976 Dodge Chinook, one of the rarest vintage camper vans ever made. I’m in Oakland, California, standing in front of a vehicle that represents both excitement and uncertainty, and honestly… I don’t know yet if this was the right move. Living on the road for over a decade has taught me that freedom isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it looks like doubt, risk, mechanical problems, and trusting your instincts when nothing feels guaranteed. This Chinook isn’t just a van, it’s a decision, a gamble, and a reflection of where I am in life right now. In this video, I share the reality behind buying an old camper van, the emotions that come with starting over (again), and why I keep choosing this lifestyle despite the fear, instability, and unknowns.
