Normandie has been the mainstay of the Portsmouth (UK) to Caen (Ouistreham) route since May 1992.
Alas, in April 2025 she is due to be withdrawn from service and will be sold too ferry operator La Mériodionale to operate the lengthy Marseille to Tangier Med route under the name of Massalia.
Normandie is a lovely ship with a warm homely atmosphere with carpeted interior and extensive use of bright, vibrant colours and florescent lighting.
A grand three deck high atrium greets passengers and gives access to the ships' excellent facilities; a large shop, cinema, reclining seat lounges, self service restaurant and A La Carte diningroom with its own exterior terrace, bar with stage & dancefloor and children's playroom.
Normandie offers a large amount of exterior deck space which will certainly benefit La Mériodionale on the Mediterranean.
