🌿This is the second journaling session in my Through the Garden Gate prompt, where the story begins to open a little wider.
In this video, I add a garden gate and arbor made out of an old book cover and a line of stepping stones to the journal cover — small details that turn a boundary into an invitation. Each element is placed slowly and intuitively, allowing the scene to emerge without a pattern or plan, just a feeling of moving forward.
This session focuses on:
🌿 Translating garden imagery into a journal cover
🪡 Creating architectural details (a gate)
🌿 Creating depth and direction with stepping stones
🪡 Letting the story unfold one layer at a time
If you watched the first video, this is where the path begins. If you’re new, you’re very welcome to step in here.
🌱 About the Through the Garden Gate Prompt
This slow stitch prompt explores thresholds, paths, and the gentle act of crossing into something new. Adding a gate and stepping stones felt like the natural next chapter — a pause, a choice, and then movement.
🌿 Journal Along or Simply Watch
You’re welcome to journal along, adapt the idea to your own journal, or simply watch as a moment of creative calm.
