Thank you for sitting with the Lord, and letting his mercy touch your heart in a deep way. This song drips with the loving kindness and fierce mercy of Jesus. It spoke deeply to me when I heard it in the prayer room on the livestream, and has been a song I listen to during the tough moments after falling or struggling with my weaknesses.

This song reminded me of Revelation 4:1-6 where John saw Jesus seated on a throne, with a rainbow around Him. So beautiful! The Lord has used this image to remind me of His mercy and affections for me throughout the last couple years. It blows my mind that His mercy is the first thing we encounter when we decide to draw near to Him. It invites us into His presence, and washes us, opening our hurt spirits into receiving the grace and love we so desperately need. Jesus is constantly available, and His mercy never runs out.

I pray this cover and image will help listeners to sit with the Lord and meditate on the beauty of Jesus mercy, found in the holes on his hands and feet, as you sit at His feet and receive.
