In this you will see Kabini backwaters safari including Nagarahole jungle safari. We are going to travel from Mysuru to Nagarohole. It is a day's combined journey.

Sri Gayathri Tiffin Room - We had our breakfast here and the food was great.

This place is open from Tuesday to Sunday and has a weekly holiday Monday.
Timing:
Morning: 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Evening: 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM

Shuka Vana - This temple is about 5 KM away from Mysuru Palace. This temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara. This place also has an aviary and has the largest collection of birds. It's known for its extensive collection of parrots and other bird species.

Jungle Lodges & Resorts - This is a govt property. We checked online the tariff showed: Rs 14,000 for double occupancy which includes jungle safari and Breakfast, lunch and dinner too.

Kabini Lake View Resort - We booked our room here which is about 13 KM from Jungle Lodges & Resorts.
Tariff - Rs 10,000 for double occupancy including breakfast and dinner.

Kabini Backwaters Safari - To start the boat safari we need to reach Jungle Lodges & Resorts. Both Nagarahole and Kabini River safari are done from here. Kabini backwaters safari is known for its wildlife viewing, especially elephants and the elusive black panther. It is a different and unique experience.

Safari Timing:
Morning: 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM
Evening: 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM

Nagarahole Tiger Reserve - It is known for one of the high-density tiger populations in the country after Corbett & Kaziranga tiger reserves. Apart from tigers one can witness other animals too like leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs, gaurs, sambar deer, chital, elephants, etc.

Jeep Safari Ticket - Rs 3000 per person.

Safari Timing:
Morning: 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM
Evening: 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Dammanakatte - It is about 5 KM from Jungle Lodges & Resorts. Dammanakatte is the another entry gate for Nagarahole Tiger Reserve. Jeep safari tickets are booked online.

Safari Timing:
Morning: 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM and 8:15 AM to 10:15AM
Evening: 2:15 PM to 4:15 PM and 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Safari Ticket for Bus - Rs 600 for adult and Rs 300 for child.

Shivalinga Cafe - It is also an old eatery and it is just beside the Sri Srikanteshwara Swamy Temple. We had lunch there.
Thali - Rs 60

Sri Srikanteshwara Swamy Temple - This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located near the river banks of Kabini river. Over the centuries, various dynasties like the Cholas, Hoysalas, Wodeyars and Vijayanagara rulers contributed to its expansion.

Timing - 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM
