Brighton Beach (near i360) to Rottingdean and start of return journey before battery runs out.

Video recorded using a GoPro Hero 12 with Max Lens Mod 2.0 in Max SuperView mode with HyperSmooth stabilization in AutoBoost mode. Stats recorded using the Ghostracer app on a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, connected to a Polar H7 heart rate monitor on a chest strap. Stats overlaid using gpx2video and best-effort manual synchronisation.

It's a shame that the camera battery ran out so soon; the promenade had started to wake up by the time I returned, with more of the sights and sounds you'd normally associate with the town. I could have filmed a bit more if I hadn't accidentally taken the clifftop path for a few metres (starting at 22:10) because I suspected the coastal path of being a road temporarily closed to traffic at one end, rather than a walking or cycling route, mainly because I spot the removable bollards. I initially thought it might have been worth following the cliff path anyway, but my acrophobia soon makes its presence felt, and the only route I was /sure/ would get me to Rottingdean was the coastal path, so I have to descend. I had a couple of moments of uncertainty on the way down, because I had to ask myself how well I'd be able to cope if I had to take the same path on the way back, but thankfully I find the correct route when I return at 01:20:20.
Although the battery dies at 01:23:16, the stabilisation at 50fps seems better than the stabilisation at 25fps, which would have given me about two hours of recording time. YouTube tells me that people tend to watch the first minute or so of my videos before clicking away, and I suspect the initial motion of the camera before I warm up a bit and get into a rhythm is part of the cause, so I might keep an eye on the stats to see if stronger stabilisation makes any difference to the viewing times!
