Music Meets Nature: Beethoven's 7th Symphony in the Atlantic Forest

Experience the powerful rhythms and soaring melodies of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A major, Op. 92, performed live in the heart of the Atlantic Forest. This open-air concert, part of the OCAM Conecta – Territórios Paulistas series, took place at the Instituto Baía dos Vermelhos in Ilhabela, São Paulo, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the @institutobaiadosvermelhos

Led by conductor Ricardo Bologna, the Chamber Orchestra of ECA/USP (OCAM) brought tradition and innovation together in a unique performance that blends classical music with the raw beauty of the natural world.

Composed between 1811 and 1812 during Beethoven’s time in the Bohemian spa town of Teplitz, Symphony No. 7 is considered one of his most joyful and energetic works. At its premiere, Beethoven himself declared it one of his best creations.
