The music this time is for wind orchestra.
I used a style of composition that was often used by wind orchestra. in the 70s. At the time, this style was widely heard in movie soundtracks, TV shows, game music, etc., but recently, minimalist music has become mainstream and it is heard less and less.

The piece uses uplifting techniques with lively expression, such as repeated hits reminiscent of Morse code, chords built up in fifths, and syncopated rhythms.

This song begins with a syncopated rhythm of unison notes played by the brass instruments. The first theme then sounds out loud on the horns, and is taken over by the trumpets. In the middle section, the second theme is sung lyrically by the clarinet, and is then developed by various instruments before returning to the first theme.

Towards the end of the song, the second theme is played in a varied form, mainly by the brass instruments, and after a moment of silence, it leads straight into the coda and ends heroically.

クラシック音楽を愛する皆様へ

今回の曲は、吹奏楽曲です。
作曲するにあたり、７０年代吹奏楽で良く用いられた作曲スタイルを用いています。この形式は当時、映画のサウンドトラックやテレビ番組、ゲーム音楽など幅広く聴くことが出来ましたが、最近はミニマル音楽が主流となり、聴くことが少なくなりました。

モールス信号を思わせる同音の連打や５度で積み上げた和音、シンコペーションのリズムなど、生き生きとした表現で高揚感あふれる技法が用いられています。

さてこの曲は、金管楽器より同音によるシンコペーションのリズムから始まります。そしてホルンの第一主題が高々に鳴り響き、トランペットに受け継がれます。中間部ではクラリネットにより第二主題が抒情的に歌われ、そして様々な楽器よって展開し、第一主題へと戻ります。

曲の終盤になると、第二主題が金管楽器を中心に、変奏された形で演奏され、ひと時の静寂の後、一気にコーダへと繋がり勇壮に曲が終わります。
