This is an interpretation of the Zanzibar Land Disturbance of 1999 (mostly) within the Metal Gear Solid canon. Human voice over was performed and AI was used to enhance the voices to sound more like particular characters. (Minor characters/voices are sometimes just AI). AI artwork was also utilized for this, although MANY details were added by hand. AI is never used for scripting/writing purposes. Citations exist for any characters and events that exist outside of canon.
Dec. 24, 1999: Solid Snake makes his way through the Zanzibar Building in search of the man with the green beret, who can lead him to Dr. Kio Marv's whereabouts. A new enemy stands in his way, and Snake must use his bullets and his wits to escape this vicious foe. Snake locates the green beret, tracking him through the lost woods. Familiar voices reach out to Snake, but where does their allegiance truly lie? The identity of Saladin and the extent of his plans are revealed.
1994: "Hell" Master Miller drills Solid Snake as he prepares him for FOXHOUND. However, with Miller, there's always a means to an end.
This video attempts to include as many codec conversations as possible at the appropriate timing (or thereabouts). Therefore, this video will be "lore-heavy." Gameplay is from first run of the game with no prior experience, unless otherwise indicated. Difficulty is normal and ranking is consistently poor, so this is not meant to be a guide of any sort.
From Wikipedia: Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake is a 1990 action-adventure stealth game developed and published by Konami for the MSX2. It serves as a sequel to the MSX2 version of the original Metal Gear, written and designed by series' creator Hideo Kojima, who conceived the game in response to Snake's Revenge, a separately produced sequel that was being developed at the time for the NES specifically for the North American and European markets. The MSX2 version of Solid Snake was only released in Japan, although Kojima would later direct another sequel titled Metal Gear Solid, which was released worldwide for the PlayStation in 1998 to critical acclaim. This later led to Solid Snake being re-released alongside the original Metal Gear as additional content in the Subsistence version of Metal Gear Solid 3 for the PlayStation 2 in 2006 with a full English translation and other revisions. The game has since been re-released as additional content for the HD Edition re-release of Metal Gear Solid 3 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PlayStation Vita, as well as part of the Master Collection edition of the original Metal Gear Solid for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and Windows (via Steam).
