Myself, My Kids & Niece Built MITRA - AI Academic Wellness Companion to Fight Student Stress Crisis

This is Mitra, the AI wellness companion we built to tackle one of India's biggest silent challenges: student mental health.

This project started as a conversation around the dinner table. Watching my own kids and niece navigate the immense pressure of school, I knew the support systems I grew up with were no longer enough. When we couldn't find the tool to help them, we decided to build it together.

This is Mitra. It's an AI Academic Wellness Companion we co-designed to be the friend we wish every student had on their toughest days. This video is a complete tour of the application we built, showcasing how we use AI to provide personalized, proactive, and truly empathetic support.

The student stress crisis in India is real. With over 81% of students reporting anxiety from their studies (Source: NCERT, 2022), we knew our solution had to be different. It had to be intelligent, it had to remember, and it had to understand the connection between academic goals and mental wellness.


In this video, I give you a complete, end-to-end tour of Mitra, the application I co-designed with my kids and niece to provide the support we wish every student had. We go far beyond a simple chatbot, showcasing a suite of deeply interconnected AI features that provide personalized, proactive, and persistent support.
