This lecture is an introduction to Simple Harmonic Oscillator (SHO) in Quantum Mechanics. Starting (quickly) with the First Quantization, the Hamiltonian operator for SHO is introduced and the solution of the Schrödinger's equation is briefly discussed, in particular the predicted discrete energy eigenvalues. Then, using Dirac's method in terms of the Creation & Annihilation operators, the energy eigenstates and eigenvalues are obtained. The importance of these results in Quantum Field Theory is briefly discussed.
