Glen Orchy is a wide valley in Argyll which stretches between Bridge of Orchy and Dalmally. In the middle of the glen flows a River Orchy and the valley is surrounded by relatively low peaks on both sides, making it less impressive than some other Scottish glens like Glencoe or Glen Nevis. Still, thanks to the river itself, and waterfalls and rapids along its course as well as Beinn Dorain range at the end of the valley, the trip to Orchy becomes a very memorable experience. Good thing about this particular river is the fact that it doesn't really matter how much water is in it. There is not many waterfalls which looks amazing at low water level, but thanks to the unique shape of these waterfalls, especially the upper one, Eas Urchaidh, it looks amazing also with water just trickling down the horseshoe shaped rocky walls. Eas Urchaidh can be seen from both sides of the river as it is located very near of the steel bridge. Sadly, the bridge is protected with a fence, which makes the view from it somewhat obstructed.
