This video shows the creative process for the creation of the hand printed art included in the Broadwell's 2022 Christmas cards.
The video describes printmaking in general, then documents the concept, the creation of a reference photo, Marshelle's conversion of a the reference photo to a black and white drawing in Procreate, Jon's use of photoshop, InkScape and the Glowforge interface to laser cut the woodcut printing blocks, preparation of the blocks for printing, and the use of the Woodzilla printing press to make the impressions.
