Waypoint 6 - Salado-Colorado Kilometer Scarp | SOI Divestream 882 - Part 2

We will descend to a water depth of approximately 2,500 m to explore a kilometer scarp with heights ranging between 100 and 200 m, located in the Argentine Basin immediately adjacent to the Salado and Colorado geological basins. We also plan to investigate comet-like depressions, possibly formed by the influence of Lower Circumpolar Deep Water. We will be positioned off the coast of Buenos Aires Province, specifically at:
820 km (442.7 nautical miles) east of Darregueira (Buenos Aires)
948 km (511.87) nm) southeast of Laguna Don Tomás in Santa Rosa (La Pampa)
1463.5 km (790.22 nm) southeast of Quimili (Santiago del Estero)
1139 km (615.01 nm) southeast of Mercedes (Corrientes)
1333.6 km (720.01 nm) southeast of Monte Comán (Mendoza)
1451.7 km (783.85 nm) northwest of Pico Truncado (Santa Cruz)
1190 km (642.54 nm) southeast of Villa Mercedes (San Luis)
1909.5 km (1031.04 nm) southeast of Cachi (Salta)

Descripción de la inmersión:
Descenderemos hasta una profundidad de agua de aproximadamente 2.500 m para explorar una escarpa kilométrica con un relieve de hasta 200 m y pendientes de hasta 50°, ubicados en la Cuenca Argentina, inmediatamente adyacente a las cuencas geológicas del Salado y del Colorado. También planeamos investigar depresiones erosivas con forma de cometa, posiblemente formadas por la influencia del Agua Profunda Circumpolar Inferior (Lower Circumpolar Deep Water).
