Build core control before strength with this Core Foundations for Calisthenics session.
In this video, you’ll learn the essential core exercises used in calisthenics to develop stability, coordination, and full-body control — not aesthetic abs. This foundations-focused practice is designed for beginners and for experienced athletes who want to rebuild clean mechanics from the ground up.
We begin with front and side plank fundamentals to establish alignment and anti-movement strength.
Then we move into hollow hold and back extension (superman) to balance the anterior and posterior chains.
Next, you’ll practice dynamic variations to improve active control, followed by seated hip flexor work to connect the core with lower-body mechanics.
The session finishes with a follow-along flow, where all exercises are integrated into one continuous sequence you can train together with me.
This video is part of the Foundations level of the StrongYogi Method — a structured approach to building strength, mobility, and discipline through conscious training.
