Exploring Chandni Chowk Area in Delhi

We went to the street Chandni Chowk at about 11 o'clock to walk up to the mosque that we mistakenly thought was the big mosque in Delhi, but I was mistaken, however we found this Sikh temple instead and we went in there to have some food and experince the Sikh hospitality.
Later we found the Jama Masjid that we were looking for, and it was quite impressive, even though we were scammed by one of the muslim guards, this felt a bit haram actually, when at a holy place like this we thought that people would be genuine and nice, but that was not the case.
India gate was somewhat of a disappointment since it wasn't open to the public, this was the day before Republic day so I think they maybe were setting things up for tomorrow. Anyway, India gate is still impressive at a distance.
Then we just went to connaught place and had some coffee and cake before we left home and I bought some snacks. Delhi is something special for us, a place where so much is happening at the same time, we love that.
