Well, Malacca, a city steeped in history and culture, is a heaven for food enthusiasts, especially those who appreciate the uniqoe flavors of Nyonya cuisine. Super delicious! One of the most recognized Nyonya dishes by those familiar with the culture. The ingredients are stewed in a sauce that consists of copious amounts of crushed shallots and garlic, which is then flavored by a brown bean paste. What I can recommend is asam pedas fish, ponteh chicken, steam otak, pai tee, chili squid with petai, char chai mix vegetables, black pepper egg plant, belacan lady fingers, pineapple prawn curry and cendol. Good place to explore Malacca foods. For Nyonya is just many of the same restaurant in town.
