The Knurled Piston Debate between us, and Dan over at Powell Machine led to a lot of interesting conversation while driving some people absolutely berserk in the comment section, but up until now it was all speculation. And then veteran NASCAR engine builder Brian Salter of Salter Racing Engines stepped in to say that he indeed actually tested the concept on a race engine and had definitive proof of it's viability.
We asked Brian to shoot us a quick video outlining the important aspects of this experiment, the story behind it and his findings. He delivered this morning, and here is what he had to say.
