Smokey Yunick was a legendary mechanic, thinker and tinkerer who never met an idea that didn't deserve some experimentation, and one of these was the concept of knurling piston skirts as a means of reducing parasitic losses in his early race engines.
But now the validity of this concept has led to an interesting debate between a couple of YouTube channels, namely us, Powell Machine and @MrDanielSoliz
