💡 Build a PRECISE ULTRASONIC METER with ARDUINO and ROTARY ENCODER! (Ultrasonic Meter HC-SR04)
Hello everyone, and welcome back to R&M LAB GH!
In this new tutorial, we are creating a unique project: the Ultrasonic Meter, a digital measuring system based on the principle of echolocation, just like bats do!
We will see how the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor calculates the sound wave's return time to give us the exact distance in centimeters, displayed in real-time on the LCD screen.
🎯 The Project's Unique Features
Our Ultrasonic Meter is equipped with two advanced operating modes:
Simple Meter Mode: Measures the distance in real-time with every button press, offering excellent precision and a very fast response.
Target/Verification Mode: You can set a precise distance (Target) using the Rotary Encoder. The system provides immediate feedback (Green LED = Correct Distance, Red LED = Error/Variation) to test sequential measurements without wasting time.

Arduino Mini (or compatible)
HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor
Rotary Encoder
LCD 16x2 I2C Display
2 LEDs (Red/Green)
1 Buzzer
1 Button
Breadboard and jumper wires
