This short guided session introduces Brahmari Pranayama, an ancient technique also known as Humming Bee Breath.
This breath practice involves a soft humming sound during each exhale. It gently stimulates the vagus nerve and activates the parasympathetic nervous system. Over time, this can help reduce stress and anxiety, support relaxation, and improve breath control. You do not need any experience to follow along.
Even without using the traditional hand positions or ear covering, the sound and rhythm alone offer a soothing, meditative effect. You’ll be guided through a few cycles and encouraged to find your own pace.
What this practice may support:
– Calming the nervous system
– Reducing anxious thoughts
– Creating internal focus and clarity
– Softening physical tension
How to Prepare for This Practice
– Find a quiet space where you can sit without interruption
– Sit in a comfortable position with a tall spine and relaxed shoulders
– Close your lips gently and breathe through your nose
– On each exhale, create a steady humming sound
– Let the breath be smooth, not forced
– If you feel out of breath, shorten the exhale and slow your rhythm
– Follow the guided breath for a few cycles, then move at your own pace if you prefer
This is a gentle way to reset your breath, your focus, and your energy.
