How to Win a Low Back Pain Social Security Disability Case in Atlanta

Not surprisingly, #Atlanta Social Security disability judges see more low back pain and lumbar spine injury claims than any other medical issue.

#Disabilityjudges are familiar with medical treatment options for low back pain claims and if you hope to win, your claim must contain evidence of a severe problem and your medical record must show that you have followed your doctor’s recommendation.

As I discuss in this video, however, it is not enough to come to your SSDI hearing with just a diagnosis of a #herniateddisc or #spinalstenosis. Instead, you will need MRI or CT evidence documenting your spinal damage, treatment records from an #orthopedist or #neurosurgeon, evidence of #radiatingpain and nerve damage not resolved by conservative treatment and either a surgical order or a referral to long term pain management.

Your judge will not award benefits if he views your low back pain as mildly impactful, and controllable with pain medications and physical therapy.
