Gujarati-Style Dal Chawal Dhokla | Easy Step-by-Step Recipe
Making
In a bowl, take one cup, small grain rice, add half a cup, Chana Dal and 2 tablespoon Udad dal soak them overnight
Now wash them properly and grind them into a fine paste by adding one cup curd in it
Now let it rest for 7 to 8 hours until it get ferment
After fermenting, add 2 tablespoon sugar, 1 tablespoon salt, pinch of Haldi and lemon juice now, mix it properly
Now take a tin and grace it prepare a Kadhai for steaming
Now add 1 teaspoon baking soda to mixture and mix it properly until it becomes fluffy. Then add mixture to the grease tin and steam it in Kadhai.
Let it steam for at least 30 minutes
For Tadka
In a pan, add 2 tablespoon oil and add 1 tablespoon rai seeds now add half cut green chilli, Kadi pata Na, add 1 1/2 glass of water
Let it boil
Now add 4 tablespoon sugar, 1 tablespoon salt, and one lemon juice to it. Let it boil until they get mixed together
After cooling at Tadka to Dhokla, now, let it cool
Serve it and enjoy
