A dedicated couple from Dakshina Kannada is proving that true change begins with commitment. Instead of choosing regular jobs, Nithyananda Shetty (MA in Economics) and Ramya (M.Com) from Eliyena Dugodu, Bantwal, have devoted their lives to protecting the environment and conserving bird species.

Under their initiative “Gubbachigoodu”, they have visited over 350 schools across Karnataka and many more across India — including Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Delhi — spreading awareness on environment conservation, bird protection, and sustainable living.
What makes their journey even more inspiring is that they travel everywhere with their little children, Nisarga and Prakruthi, symbolizing their deep bond with nature.

Their mission has earned tremendous appreciation from the public, as they continue to inspire thousands of students and communities through hands-on awareness programs and eco-friendly initiatives.
