MTA Maryland: Bus Observations (January 2016) - Part 4/4 [

‣ Video takes place at Port Covington-Walmart Shopping Center.
The "UA" logo seen in the foreground is the new location of Under Armour's corporate office and part of a massive development now underway. The location is just across the parking lot from the Walmart store [far right - out-of view] as this recording takes place just one week before Walmart closed it's doors permanently as of January 17, 2016.

‣ The roughly 300-acre area surrounding this once busy coal industrial shipping port has seen very few promises in it's time since the 1960s. Baltimore Sun Newspaper's distribution center and Walmart (and Sam's Club from 2002-06*) are the most recent tenants to call Port Covington home up until 2016. Like many other cities, Port Covington will experience an extreme overhaul with upcoming retail, housing development, hotels and the UNDER ARMOUR campus. The ever-growing sporting wear company just recently built it's new corporate office on the site of the defunct Sam's Club. Just one building out of a major development for a more than 20-acre corporate campus similar to other corporate businesses, i.e.: Google and/or Nike.
