Speakers:

Kylie Bromley brings deep experience in rare disease strategy and policy, both as General Manager of Biogen UK and as Chair of the BIA’s Rare Disease Industry Group. She’s a leading voice in shaping how industry engages with regulators and the NHS to improve access for patients with rare conditions.

Sheela Upadhyaya is a seasoned expert in health technology assessment and rare disease policy. As a former Associate Director at NICE, she led the Highly Specialised Technologies programme and brings invaluable insight into the evolving HTA landscape.

Joining us from Muscular Dystrophy UK is Dr Charlotte Roy. She is a scientist and rare disease advocate with a deep commitment to driving change through research and community action. With a PhD in chemistry and a background in translational science, Charlotte brings both expertise and empathy to her work with Muscular Dystrophy UK.

We’re also joined by Nico Reynders, General Manager at UCB UK & Ireland , where he leads efforts to improve access to innovative treatments for people with severe diseases. With nearly three decades in pharma and biotech, Nico is known for championing patient-focused solutions and driving policy change to speed up access to medicines. He also serves on the ABPI Board and is Vice Chair of the European Medicines Group, helping shape the future of healthcare across the UK.
