Hay Bluff - to the cats back and back in a thermally rough day - 1400m top for my UK record height

This was a 5 star day at Hay Bluff. I decided to fly down to the end of the Cat's back and return. Wind was on the ridge most of the way, but I was struggling to pick wind direction on the way back. I was getting so much turbulance that I thought the wind had switched to coming down the ridge. I thought I was getting turbulance of the hill top at the end of the ridge. Knowing this, I decided to fly out and look for possible landing spots in the valley. I connected with a really good climb to break my UK heighest record and fly back to landing.
My hands were so cold that I thought I was going to lose the tips to frostbight. If anyone has an economically viable way to warm the fingies, please drop a comment.
