Join us as we run 70 miles offshore out of Steinhatchee, Florida into the heart of the Big Bend on a flat-calm Gulf of Mexico day. We hit multiple reefs and hard bottom and found steady action — red grouper, triggerfish, and various reef fish throughout the day.
The sharks were thick, and we lost several good fish to big sandbars and bulls, but that’s offshore life in the Big Bend. Even with the taxman taking his share, we brought home a beautiful triggerfish and wrapped the trip with a charcoal-grilled triggerfish catch clean cook back at home.
