On June 6, 2018, my friend Andy and I decided to revisit the Winchester & Western Railroad in Bridgeton, NJ to see the daily sand train to Unimin Corp in Dividing Creek. Upon arrival, I was surprised to see the 70-06 (Re-symboled from the CM format symbol) shoving up the Deerfield Branch with one tank car for Lassonde, Pappas & Sons at the end of the short line in East Deerfield, NJ, using GP10M 576 and GP9 520. They're seen shoving up the branch at Love Lane in East Deerfield, before coming back with two at Finley Road and returning to Bridgeton at Cornwell Drive..
A little later, 70-06 drills out empty covered hoppers at Bridgeton Yard, before running around their train and then down the C&M Branch with GP9 520 leading with the outstanding RS5T horn, seen leaving Bridgeton before rolling through Cedarville, Newport and then under the silos of US Silica as they approach Unimin.
We were then able to catch the Millville Switcher, 80-06 (formerly SW) heading back through town after working Wheaton Glass with GP9 duo 475 and 517.
Thanks for watching!
