Dan Markoff is best known for his restoration of Eureka and Palisades number 4, the Eureka 4-4-0 1875 steam locomotive.However, after finishing the restoration in 1991, he set to work building a flat car and then in 1994 a recreation of the Palisade, a combine passenger car. Other than the wheels, the entire car has been built from the ground up. After 21 years, the car will be finished Tuesday.
