Cinnamon bun recipe (15 buns):
Dough
500 g / 4 cups flour
0.5 package dry yeast (6 g)
100 g / 0.5 cup sugar
2 ts cardamom
0.5 ts cinnamon
Mix quick and add
1 egg
2.5 - 3 dl /1.2 cups water
(add little by little. hold back some and add more if you need after mixing in the butter)
Knead the dough for 10 minutes and add:
100 g soft butter
Knead it for another 15 minutes
Rise for 1 hour
Cinnamon and cardamom filling:
100 g butter
100 g brown sugar
2 tbs cinnamon
1-2 tbs freshly ground cardamom
1 tsp vanilla sugar
0.5 tsp salt
Rise for another 30 minutes and brush with egg or water before the oven
Bake for 9–11 minutes at 225°C (435°F). GOOD LUCK and happy baking 💛
