State law permits local governments to designate one Sunday per year allowing establishments
with licenses for on premises alcohol consumption (Class D, E & F), that are normally not
permitted to serve alcohol, to serve on that designated Sunday. Based on a survey of these
establishments, February 8, 2026 (Super Bowl Sunday) is recommended as the designated
Sunday in 2026.
