Hi guys!
We are going to make Sizzling Pepper Steak at home. Perfectly cooked steak and crisp veggies with delicious sauce. Sizzling Pepper Steak probably look intimidating but is not as hard as you think. After watching today’s video, you will be able to make it in your kitchen in no time!
Ingredients:
300-500g New York Strip Steak
1 green bell pepper (cut into chunks)
1 onion (cut into chunks)
2 green onions (cut into chunks)
4 cloves of garlic (slice into thin pieces)
Marinade:
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp oyster sauce
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 tsp water
1/2 tsp corn starch
1 tsp cooking oil
Beef Stir fry:
2 tbsp cooking oil
1/2 coarsely ground black pepper
Veggies stir fry:
1 tsp cooking oil
1/4 tsp salt
Beefs and veggies stir fry together:
1 tbsp cooking oil
Sliced garlic pieces
1 tsp light soy sauce
1 tsp oyster sauce
1/2 tsp dark soy sauce
1/2 tsp of sugar
1/2 coarsely ground black pepper
1 tbsp cooking wine
Directions:
1: Remove fatty parts from the steak. Slice into 1/4-inch-thick pieces. Try to cut the meat in the same size this way they will cook the same time. The way we are going to slice the beef is to slice against the grain. Find the long muscle fibers in the meat and break them up makes the meat more tender.
2: Soak the meat for 15-20 mins. The purpose of step is to remove the blood from meat, so the meat won’t smell bad.
3: Cut about ½ ‘’ off the top and bottom of the bell pepper and cut it in the middle to open it. Lay the pepper on the cutting board and slice into strips. Cut the white parts off. And then cut across the strips.

First is Practice. Practice makes me stop crying while cutting the onions. I feel like the faster I cut, and there will be fewer tears. Second is the knife, sharp knife makes cutting easier and faster. Last cut couple of spring onions into simple chunks. Slice 4-5 cloves of garlic
5: When the meat is ready, pour out the water and squeeze the meet to.
6: Marinade the beef by adding 1 tsp of soy sauce, 1 tsp of oyster sauce, 1/4 of baking soda, 2 tsp of water, ½ tsp of cooking oil and ½ tsp of corn starch. Mix well and marinade for 10 mins.
7: Turn on the stove and preheat the pan with median-high heat for about 1 min and then add 2 tbsp of cooking oil. Once the oil is hot, put the meat in. Add 1/2 tsp of ground black pepper after 30 seconds. Stir fry another 20 seconds and remove the meat.
8: Put 1 tsp of cooking oil, bell peppers and onions to the pan. Stir fry for about 45 seconds, add 1/4 tsp of salt and mix well. We are going to heat up a skillet now. Once the veggies are cooked remove them from the pan.
9: Add 1 tbsp of cooking oil and sauté the garlics with low heat for about 10-20 seconds. Add 1 tsp of light say sauce, 1 tsp of oyster sauce, 1/2 tsp of dark soy sauce, 1/2 tsp of sugar, 1/2 tsp of black pepper and mix well. Turn the heat to median high and bring the beef and veggies. Mix everything together.
10: Add 1 tbsp of cooking wine and then transfer the steaks and veggies to the skillet. Finally sprinkled with green onions.
