Summer 2025 Interviews – CCNY STEM Institute Game Projects
This collection highlights the culminating projects developed by students of the CCNY STEM Institute during the Summer 2025 semester. Featuring nine unique and imaginative games by 40 brilliant high school students. These titles showcase the incredible talent of high school students diving into Unity for the first time. Each game is a testament to their creativity, problem-solving skills, and passion for game design. Here you get to hear the thoughts and feelings of the students as they competed their projects.

Citi Bike Haven - A tycoon game where you collect Citi Bikes and earn money by redistributing them to the correct locations.
Gridlock - A simulation game where you're the mayor of NYC, making tough decisions to fix the city's traffic chaos.
Homeless Hero Quest - A top-down adventure where you help guide homeless individuals back to shelters, overcoming challenges along the way.
Metro Mayhem - A fast-paced 2D platformer where you dash and slide through hazardous subway stations.
Nothing Can Stop the A Train - A 2D platformer focused on upgrading your train chassis as you race against rival subway lines.
Platform Panic - An adventure 2D platformer that explores the benefits of subway barriers by visiting cities around the world and learning how they implement them.
Rush City - A narrative-driven game following two people and the mysterious ways their lives intertwine on the subway.
Stand Clear - A visual novel/tower defense hybrid where you build subway barriers to protect commuters from rats and pigeons trying to destroy them.
The Trip - A journey through the subway system that highlights its benefits and how it impacts your route to a destination.
