Come on in and get yourself comfortable.It’s time to kick back, put your feet up, and ease into the soothing rhythm of another ASMR carpet cleaning session.

First things first. I gave this a 10 soil rating because there was some stool in one of the bedrooms. That and blood are automatic 10s for me. 
Ok so the customer reached out a few days prior. I already had three jobs scheduled for the day, but I could tell—if I didn’t offer something soon, they’d probably go with someone else.Alright now… hold your horses. No need to check out anybody else. I’ll squeeze one more into the schedule. 😄

When I arrived, the customer’s wife and son were there waiting for me. She explained they lived three doors down and that her mother had been living in the home until recently. They’d had to place her in a care facility, and now they were preparing the house so their son could move in.

I heard that.Keep it in the family. That’s what I’m about.

Mom was a smoker—and she had a dog—so you could smell both as soon as you stepped inside. The good news? The carpet had potential. Once the odors were addressed, it was clear this wasn’t a lost cause at all.

There was a large dark spot in the living room—clearly an old accident that never quite left the fibers. Honestly, that was for the best. At least nobody tried to drown it in you-know-what and turn it into a bleach stain. I’ll take a real stain over permanent damage any day.

During vacuuming, I pulled up a solid amount of dry soil—always a good sign. That meant the extraction was going to be satisfying. I brought out the CRB, mixed up a high-pH pre-spray, and went to town, letting the machine and chemistry do their thing.

At some point, the husband showed up, chatted with me briefly, then skidaddled. He worked for GM and likely had to head into work.

I heard that too.
