Based off the Studio Ghibli classic, “Spirited Away”

Welcome to Tokio Funka, the town of spirits where all of us parade around and put on a show every evening. We’ll open up the gates to our lovely home and introduce you a bit. Our beautiful yuna begin the tale, relaying to you, our cute little guests, how this place functions. Our queen of thieves and her right-hand will take you on a tour of their violent, lustful undertakings while picking your pockets. If you ever find yourself having ‘needs’ that require being satisfied, you’ve come to the right place.
Take a tour while our local spirits spy on you and see sights that will probably terrify but also delight you! Oh, what’s that? You think this place seems a bit shady?

Opal, Caeda and Noa (from our cast lineup) are the ‘Chihiros’ that never managed to escape, and you, the audience and judges, are the new ‘Chihiro’ wandering into our little haven.

You, the audience and judges, should not immediately trust this new world and its inhabitants because…

“Wolves may lurk in every guise”

The wolves refer to our facade of luxury and beauty, with the underlying reality of poverty, sex slavery, crime, and connivance. Read more in our official R1 story document.
