This routine is an adaptation of Steve Reynolds' effect, "Mr. Fogg, Tracked Down from Route 52." While Steve's original method required both a preset and a preload, you can perform this version with a borrowed, shuffled deck.
I first developed this idea approximately 15 years ago and published it in my 2019 lecture notes, "Card Theater." It also appears in "All-In Vol. 1," on page 168.
