Epilepsy affects more people than multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s, and ALS combined. However, it continues to receive less research money per patient than each of these disorders. Without dedicated investment, the answers people need will remain locked away.

This is where we step in. CURE Epilepsy unlocks the doors that are holding back progress by finding and funding innovative scientists and projects that look beyond the status quo and rethink what is possible in the world of epilepsy research.

We are a diverse and committed community: people living with epilepsy, their friends, families and caregivers who refuse to live with seizures and side effects. We are healthcare professionals working every day to care for people with epilepsy. We are researchers relentlessly dedicated to uncovering the mysteries of the brain.

Cure is a bold word, but we are an even bolder organization. Since 1998, the return on our investment has been vast—our grantees have gone on to secure millions of additional dollars to continue their work, unlocking even more breakthroughs. We believe this is the generation that is finally going to find the answers we are looking for.
