We are at the Long Island Rail Road Westhampton station, where we see Long Island Rail Road Train 16 the Cannonball. Cannoball operates Friday summer season evenings from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend.
Tonight's Cannonball has EMD locomotives DM30AC 506 and 520 powering 12 Kawasaki C3 bilevel passenger coaches.
Cannonball departs New York's Penn Station at 4:07 PM and runs 78 miles nonstop in 96 minutes to Westhampton in Suffolk County eastern Long Island New York. Cannonball continues east with stops at Southampton, Bridgehampton, East Hampton, and Montauk.
