In the summer of 2022, I was lucky enough to be invited by NJCTS, New Jersey Centre for Tourette’s Syndrome, to be a participant in the amazing Tim Howard Leadership Academy! The academy is aimed at building confidence in young people suffering from Tourette's syndrome to enable them to advocate for themselves and others, out in the community. This video is all about my journey to the USA from the UK, how I coped with travelling with Tourette's Syndrome and my time at the leadership Academy. It's a 30-minute video but please do watch it all the way through as there are interviews with many young people with Tourette's Syndrome and lots of fantastic ideas and thoughts on how to break down the prejudice and misconceptions widely held by organisations and communities.
