In this generic video, I will explain how I create my Fontsets for games and to match the ASCII table, using Inkscape and LibreSprite. Next I will explain how to create Title Screen text layouts, using either a textfile or an image, so you know where to place your text. Then I show example code from 4 Games that I created, which demonstrates the above and explains some ways I code HUDs for games. Next I talk about using simple State Machines, to control various program flow, for title screen options and Alertboxes and simple Inputboxes. Next I give an example of mixing 2D and 3D on the DS and how I created a HUD for this type of game.
All the code presented in the video can be easily transferred to any console or Desktop game.
Hopefully it will show you how you can structure your own programs, to put in to practice any ideas you have about Title Screens, HUDs or Text boxes and InputBoxes.
