"پھر اللہ نے سخت و نرم، میٹھے اور کھارے زمین کے اجزاء جمع کیے، انہیں پانی میں تر کیا یہاں تک کہ وہ پاکیزہ ہوگئے، پھر اس میں نمی ملائی یہاں تک کہ وہ چپکنے والے ہوگئے۔ ان سے ایک پیکر بنایا جس میں خم و پیچ، جوڑ، اعضاء اور حصے رکھے۔ پھر اسے ٹھوس اور مضبوط کیا یہاں تک کہ خشک ہو کر بجنے والی مٹی ہوگئی۔ پھر اس میں اپنی روح سے پھونکا تو وہ ایک انسان کی شکل میں ظاہر ہوا، جس کے پاس ایک دماغ تھا جو اس کا حاکم تھا، ایک عقل تھی جس سے فائدہ اٹھاتا تھا، اعضاء تھے جو اس کی خدمت کرتے تھے، حرکات کرنے والے جوڑ تھے، ایک سمجھ بوجھ تھی جو حق و باطل میں فرق کرتی تھی، ذائقے اور خوشبوئیں پہچاننے کی قوتیں تھیں، رنگوں اور انواع کو جاننے کی صلاحیتیں تھیں۔ وہ مختلف رنگوں کی مٹیوں کا مرکب تھا، مختلف خصوصیات کا مجموعہ تھا، جو ایک دوسرے سے متضاد بھی تھیں، جیسے گرمی و سردی، نرمی و سختی۔"
