Disaster features one of my favorite music combinations: happy upbeat music with REALLY depressing lyrics. I decided to stay in a similar vein to Control in terms of Eurodance and House music. I had a ton of fun playing with different vocal layers in this one. During the bridge I mash up both the chorus and prechorus and then again in the final moments with the prechorus and verse. Being in choirs and vocal groups all growing up, coming up with harmonies and vocal layers has always been one of my all time favorite things to do with my music

Lyric wise I decided to dive deep into the devastating tale of lost friendship. In my life, the end of deep friendships has always been more painful than romantic relationship breakups. Feeling like you have your other half in your best friend only for things to fall apart in the most heart wrenching and soul crushing way. Disaster is about the breakup and realization that there's no saving this and now you must undergo the battle of disentangling and ending this incredibly meaningful chapter of your life

As a massive Daft Punk fan I incorporated the lyrics Harder, Better, Faster Stronger throughout the two verses as an homage to my all time favorite group and one of my biggest musical influences

I produced Disaster on Ableton and created the AMV on Capcut with some help from Adobe Premiere Pro

I quickly realized that I needed to incorporate Sailor Moon into the AMV because throughout Disaster I repeat the phrase "make up" and there's no better match then Moon Prism Power MAKE UP. As cheesy as it sounds, Sailor Moon also matched perfectly because it deals with the power and heartbreak of friendships and the battles we embark on for the sake of the universe and our own personal worlds

As a massive fan of anime, and also an Anime YouTuber ‪@NekoDecoPop‬ crossing over into the world of AMVs has been such a joy. Creating these AMVs has truly been one of the most rewarding ways that has breathed new life into my music. I hope you enjoy the AMV and thank you so much for listening
