Did you know that practically EVERY MOVE we make is powered by the muscles of our gluteus maximus? Our rear end provides the muscle engine that keeps us STRONG and SAFE in all areas of our lives!

Strengthening our glute muscles is so important at any age, but particularly as we get older. Your beautiful, powerful butt will help you:

🍑 Climb stairs
🍑 Prevent falls
🍑 Walk or run faster
🍑 Protect your lower back
🍑 Feel stronger
🍑 Get up and down from the ground, and
🍑 Generate more power in everything you do

Today, we’re alternating between walking and glute-centric strength exercises to give our body a workout that improves muscle health and gives us a boost of fitness on our way to LOSING WEIGHT.

BONUS: While we’re getting STRONGER, I’m talking about approaching the “tough stuff” in life - tasks that we may not be thrilled about doing or aren’t in the mood for at that moment - and about how just doing it can be incredibly MOTIVATING in the long run.

SET UP:
Timer is set for intervals of one minute of walking and 30 seconds of glute-centric exercises; complete each booty exercise for one interval on each side before moving on; there is NO REST

WARM UP

EXERCISES:
Fire Hydrants
Curtsy Tap with a Side Kick
Small Circles
Rear Pulses
Knee to Knee Openers

FINISHER (one interval on each side; walking interval in between):
Leg Circles in Drinky Bird Stance
