Bhaimon Da is the first biopic on the legendary Assamese filmmaker Munin
Barua, celebrating his creative genius and transformative impact on Assamese
cinema. The film traces his struggles and successes and provides
behind-the-scenes stories of milestone films, featuring beloved stars like
Biju Phukan, Mridula Barua, Zubeen Garg and Jatin Bora. With nostalgic
charm and poignant storytelling, it honors Barua’s legacy and the cultural
renaissance he inspired in the Assamese film industry.

Patralekha
Inspired by a hauntingly abstract Bhupen Hazarika song
about an incomplete romance, Patralekha tells the story of
a man and woman from a village, once close but now separated
by life’s challenges. She is a schoolteacher caring for
her ailing mother, remains rooted in village life. He moved
to the city, working modestly while pursuing art as solace.
Their lives beyond typical marriage age, linger in emotional
suspension. The film’s contrasting visuals—harsh daylight
village scenes and subdued urban evenings—reflect their
inner worlds. It is a poignant tale of unfulfilled love, silent
endurance, and the power of memory and art.
