Peach Cobbler Recipe:
6 Peaches
1 Lemon
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
1 1/3 self-rising flour
1/3 cups of rolled oats
2/3 cups of whole milk
3 tablespoons of cold water
Cut unpeeled peaches into eight slices. Add lemon zest and juice over the top. Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg then mix gently. To make the batter, use one cube of room temperature butter and blend thoroughly with 1 1/4 cup of sugar. After blended add flour and oatmeal and mix again. Add 2/3 cup of whole milk and mix until batter looks like bread crumbs. Put peaches in your pan and spread batter over the peaches. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of sugar on top of batter and spray thoroughly with cold water. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake for 45-55 minutes until top crust becomes golden brown and semi hard and crispy. Let cool for 30 minutes before serving.
