Leighton Buzzard to Aylesbury
What a great week cruising the Grand Union Canal. We left Leighton Buzzard and stopped at Marsworth for a lovely meal at The Red Lion. We headed down the Aylesbury Arm slightly worried about weeds and the lack of water as we had heard a rumour it was difficult to navigate. We needn’t have worried, the pounds were full to overflowing and we only had problems with weeds in one lock. But the biggest win of the week was finding Circus Field Marina run by the Aylesbury Canal Society. It is a great place to stay, and they offer up to two weeks FREE mooring to visitors. It is well worth checking out!
